Responsibilities: Lead and direct tax operations including tax accounting, reporting and compliance with the objective of ensuring providing high standards of service according to SLA (Service Level Agreement) within tax regulations, generally accepted accounting principles, TE's Corporate policies and procedures Qualifications: Responsibilities "Strategic Planning Develop and implement operational plans based on SSC strategy and annual plans in order to support TE China's vision and long-term business strategy" "Tax Accounting and Reporting Manage tax accounting and reporting activities; review and approve tax returns, reports, and transfer pricing documentation in order to ensure compliance with TE’s Corporate policies and PRC/US tax regulations" "Advise and Support Advise on tax matters related to operations as well as tax impact of business changes; coordinate and support tax planning projects led by TE's Corporate Tax team in order to support business development " "Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and Internal Controls (i) Review SOX documentation on tax functions in order to ensure the documents represent the company's existing situation; and (ii) Implement a remediation plan to address the SOX findings in order to ensure compliance with SOX regulations and other TE's Corporate policies" "Policies and Procedures Ensure the compliance with SSC policies and procedures; oversee the internal update activities on tax regulations and accounting principles on tax treatments in order to ensure team members have a good understanding about latest regulatory requirements" "People Management Allocate work across direct reports; monitor and review their performance; mentor, develop and motivate them; and help resolve people/functional issues in order to achieve the targeted team performance and retain talent" "Audit Support Coordinate and support external and internal audits; communicate about significant audit findings and lead the corrective actions where appropriate in order to ensure that audits are completed in a timely manner" "Performance Improvement Identify potential areas for improvement, lead or support other SSC managers to implement the initiatives in order to drive continuous optimization" "Project Management Lead or support project implementation in order to obtain quality project results" "Government relationship management Develop and maintain positive relationships with tax authorities in order to build/maintain TE China’s reputation and ensure tax authorities optimally support TE China’s business growth needs" Qualificaitons Bachelor degree or above in accounting, finance or other related field More than 8 years of working experience in tax function in an MNC, including 5 years of management experience, preferably in a shared services environment Solid knowledge of PRC tax laws and regulations, US GAAP and CAS on tax treatments Proficient in MS Office, familiar with ERP accounting module as a functional end user CTA or equivalent Proficient in written and oral English, good communication skills, integrity, accountability, logical, detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to work under pressure Proven ability to lead a medium-size (e.g. 10-30 staff) team, good interpersonal and people management skills |
