Job Title : Manufacturing Engineer, ESB-Engineered solution business
Work Location: Shanghai, China
Reports to (Direct/Indirect): Engineering Manager

SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:
Provide for the availability of equipment, processes and manufacturing capacity for the production of ** products. Ensure that the manufacturing processes provide the highest quality product at the lowest cost.  Ensure that customer delivery commitments are met.  Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (state regulations, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, etc)  as well as policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities include the following:
_Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process problems to maintain smooth flow of production
_Improve processes applying lean techniques and engineering principles
_Identify and implement manufacturing cost reductions and productivity improvements
_Research, develop and document new and existing manufacturing processes.
_Assist in the layout of new production lines including material flow patterns.
_Support the growth of the facility by ensuring seamless transfer of products from other facilities into the Shanghai facility.
_Ensure seamless implementation of engineering change notices.
_Identify and pursue product design changes to improve manufacturability based on engineering knowledge
_Assist with procurement of manufacturing equipment, supplies, or materials
_Apply continuous improvement techniques to processes involving customers and suppliers
_Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as ** policies and procedures.
Leadership
_Coach, develop and direct the activities of hourly employees in an evolving team environment and become involved with factory automation
_Influence and lead others in the accomplishment of assigned projects
Interpersonal
_Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team
_Communicate and share information effectively with others in presentations, reports and other media
Business
_Participate in short and long term strategic planning for business initiatives
_Ensures thorough familiarity with policies and procedures relating to standards of business conduct, and trains and motivates subordinates in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of such policies and procedures.
Computer Skills:
_To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Internet software; Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
_A qualified candidate for this position must have a demonstrated record of technical and business competence, interpersonal skills, leadership ability and a strong desire for a career in manufacturing or operations.  
Minimum Education Requirements are:
_Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or other related technical degree.
_English language ability, such as spoken and writing is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
_Minimum three years of manufacturing engineering experience in a Multi-national company.
