Merchandising Director Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of merchandising which covers sales plans, inventory targets, margin, vendor selection and negotiation, advertising and promotions. 1.set merchandising goals and direction in alignment with company business strategy, 2.lead and own specific categories of buy, identify, source, evaluate and develop suppliers within these categories 3.Build strong supplier/ partner relationships and review regularly to ensure their performance. 4.Understand marketing pricing and competitive pricing in the market for all categories of buy 5.Lead product line reviews for key categories annually, all categories should be analyzed and reset through product line reviews ,business review’s on yearly basis. 6.Importing products from overseas supplier to enrich product line. 7.Manage the product development process 8.Drive the execution level and compliance level of all suppliers in the category 9.Coordinate sales promotion activities and pricing of merchandise 10Familiar with product quality 11Work with supplier to provide the product training to associates 12Responsible for managing and motivating their team members Requirements: 1.At least 10 years experience in Supermarket/retail/ merchandising experience in local or international supermarkets 2.Leadership experience is preferable. 3.Strong merchandising skill which will include the ability to introduce new brands and products not currently sold in China 4.Self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a dynamic business environment; 5.Excellent negotiation skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills 6.Strong problem solving and excellent organizational and project management skills, able to work well in cross-functional teams 7.Strong data analysis skill 8.Result-oriented executions 9.Fast Learners 10Customer focus 11Passion / Motivated 12English |
