Job Title: Sales Director, Greater China Company Profile: US Company; Top 500 (HVAC and Building Material Industry) Reports To: Sales Director of Asia Subordinates: 10+ Location: Shanghai Date Available: ASAP Job Purpose: 1.Responsible for meeting sales targets for all Commercial Heating products and services within the assigned geography. 2.Manage the “in country” sales efforts in the Commercial Market place such as Infrastructure and Residential Sectors. 3.Establish strong partnerships with key Domestic/Foreign Property Developers, National Infrastructure Companies, engineering companies as well as consulting companies. 4. Collaborate with other entities to find and qualify new prospect especially in Tunnels and Building Services Responsibilities: To lead the local sales team and client interaction by sales management skills through: 1.The identification and prioritization of key clients. 2.Meet the Country Commercial Heating Business Sales/Margin Targets. 3.Establishing and monitoring Sales call activity and Selling Expenses. 4.Identification of sales and business development opportunities on a national basis by Comfort and Safety Applications. 5.Strong leadership and negotiating skills necessary to secure contracts on large project opportunities. 6.Strong account management and time management ability. 7.Identify large project opportunities such as High Speed Train development and new Airports where Tyco Thermal Controls can provide complete Heating Solution. 8.Develop Retail and Project Channel Strategy for Floor Heating/Hot Water System Business at Residential Marketing Segment. 9.Develop the strategy to capture the Leak Detection Market not just for Water Detection on Data Centre or IT Room but also support Industrial Sales on Oil Detection. 10.Provide ‘bid-strategy’ support on identified project opportunities. 11.Work with existing and develop channels to achieve the annual distributor business plan. 12.Research competitive activity with respect to changes in products, services, pricing or marketing strategies with Product Marketing Team by the competitors within Greater China. Qualifications & Experience 1.Market Knowledge: Possess a detailed, in depth knowledge of the Commercial Products Marketplace including at Residential and Infrastructure Industries. 2.Customer Knowledge: Requires strong, well established relationships at senior, influential levels within ‘Key Property Developers’ and ‘Key Engineering Contractors’ nationally and Retail Channels within China. 3.Technical Knowledge: Requires a working knowledge of electrical engineering. 4.Channel Management Knowledge: Requires a working knowledge of Channel Development and Management to maximize the coverage. 5.Sales management Skills: Strong negotiation skills, adapt at and clearly understanding the ‘Selling Cycle’ and ‘Strategic Selling at Senior Levels’, with a proven track record of achievement on major projects. At least 5 years on Sales Management level by leading a team with size of 10 people. Good track record on achieving annual sales target through the Sales Performance Management and Sales Resources Mapping Skills. 6.Product Knowledge: Possess a reasonable knowledge of Commercial Heating Products like Electric Floor Heating and Freeze Protection type of products 7.Communication Skills: Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in English. 8.Organization Skills: Strong account management and time management skills. 9.Qualifications: University Degree in a technical discipline with Professional Engineering or equivalent certification. |
