Lead the Key Account strategy, in the assigned country, - and globally for assigned customers, develop specific approaches and actions in coordination with the Regional Business Managers (RBMs), the Biotech Business Development Manager (BBDM) and the Key Account Managers (KAMs) Actively contribute to the assessment of opportunities for LSS R&D/QC Act as the voice of SGS when talking to the Key Account and the voice of the Key Account within SGS Consolidate all information on activities of KA in the country and globally for assigned customers: Revenue with SGS, general company figures, new business areas, projects competitors activities, quality- and TAT issues, etc. Reporting To: Vice President Marketing & Sales R&D/QC SGS Life Science Services Administrative reporting to the Director of LSS/CTS China Specifically These Responsibilities Are To: • Execute Key Accounts strategy by prospection of new customers and development of new opportunities with existing clients • Identify and manage new business areas, strategic initiatives globally with assigned Key Accounts and locally with all Key Accounts in collaboration with RBMs and KAMs. • Establish action plans, monitor and coordinate timely taking into consideration positive and negative deviations from target (e.g. Budget) • Lead the process to establish a local mid-term strategy and a local yearly budget with the support of the RBMs, the KAMs. • Analyze and evaluate the profitability of the business in the local market in collaboration with the RBM, the KAMs and local sales and report back to the VP Marketing & Sales • Actively cooperate with local sales, local operations, RBM and other KAMs, • Take the leadership in important new/strategic projects and act as the “referent person” • Identify and pre-evaluate potential acquisition target companies within the country/countries • Represent the SGS LSS R&D/QC in (local) conventions, exhibitions (etc.) to promote the LSS R&D/QC business • Work closely with local Health Administration • Be present in local professional associations • Operate to the highest standards of ethics in accordance with the SGS Statement of Integrity Profile: • Scientific educational background (Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry or Physics) • Solid understanding of the Pharma/Biotech industry, • Fluent in Chinese language, high level of written and verbal English • About 5 years sales experience in the Life Science industry within the designated regions/countries.
